Programme of activities (PoA)

A framework under which many small, similar activities are bundled into one registered programme.

A programme of activities registers a coordinated set of small units — cookstoves, solar systems, smallholdings — under one umbrella, with each unit added later as a component.

This structure reduces transaction costs for dispersed activities that would each be too costly to register separately, and it allows expansion without re-registering the whole programme.

Frequently asked questions

Who manages a PoA?

A coordinating entity responsible for inclusion criteria, monitoring and reporting across all components.

What is the main integrity risk?

Weak additionality testing at the programme level, which can admit non-additional components.
